Over the Christmas period it seems designers had some busy days preparing photomontages for the Wied iż-Żurrieq development project of bathrooms and boat garages + redevelopment of diving kitting up area. These photomontages were requested by ERA as per our recent article on the submission of fresh plans and were uploaded to the Planning Authority portal on the 22 December 2025.
It’s quite clear that whoever designed these may have missed certain details which may not be of interest for ERA but are very much in the interest of divers and other visitors.
Missing from the photomontage are the two extra step levels being created and the allocation of more than half of the rooftop of the new building to accommodate a belvedere walkway as well as the installation Photovoltaic Panels as indicated in the plans submitted to the Planning Authority.
The lack of paving markings on this rooftop in the plans previously submitted makes it unclear whether the remaining rooftop part would be available as part of the kitting up area, even though the photomontage alludes to all of this rooftop area being available for visitors.
