Two divers hospitalised after encountering difficulties in Ċirkewwa

Newsbook reports that on 14 October 2024, two divers were hospitalised after facing difficulties at Cirkewwa.

“Two divers were transported to Mater Dei Hospital for observation after facing difficulties while diving in Ċirkewwa.

A Police spokesperson told Newsbook Malta that authorities were alerted when two divers did not surface at the expected time. Shortly after, the police received confirmation that the divers had been located, prompting the immediate dispatch of a paramedic team to the scene.

Both individuals, foreign nationals, were taken to Mater Dei Hospital as a precautionary measure for further observation.

Fortunately, neither diver was reported to be in life-threatening condition.”
