A news report was published today stating that a rescue operation was underway this afternoon at the Ċirkewwa Marine Park for two divers who found themselves in difficulties.
From information we have obtained, the story is slightly different from that reported and that rather, a precautionary alarm was raised during which a search was ongoing for one diver. The diver was found safe and sound in a short while by others assisting in the search and no medical attention was required.
divinginfo.mt extends the gratitude of the diving community for the persons on site who helped in this matter and the rescue services’ prompt assistance.
We wish to remind those who might have been exposed to this event or that may have otherwise suffered shock or mental anxiety following this or similar events to use services such as Olli chat, run by the Richmond Foundation or Helpline 1770.
