Well done to Damian Xuereb for his presentation last Thursday at ATLAM Sub Aqua Club. Interesting points raised in Damian’s presentation of his dissertation on the current model of the diving industry covering Training and Business models, challenges for new divers to join in, and sustainability in a future where the future diver may be a more “casual” diver.
The thesis was written as part of Damian’s BSc in Diving Safety Management at the Institute Of Tourism Studies – ITS which is run in collaboration with the Divers Alert Network. Advisors on the thesis were Dr. Simon Caruana and Prof. Alessandro Marroni (the founder and President of DAN Europe).
