The Malta Police Force yesterday presented its latest acquisition, two new RHIBs that will be used by the Environmental Protection Unit in order to carry out patrols nearshore and enhance borders protection.
In a statement issued by the government, it was stated that these investments will help the Malta Police Force ensure that the islands remain one of the safest states. These were partly funded through EU funds granted for the project named “Malta Police Force’s Specific Actions for Border Surveillance”.
