Within the Christian religion, the text of St. Paul’s exploits includes the story of his faith and survival during his trip towards Rome in the year 60AD.
Over the millennia, writings and tradition have pointed towards the location of this shipwreck to have occurred in the Maltese Islands, with many indicators of the likelihood of this event having really occurred here coming from both placenames as well as physical remains underwater of Roman shipwrecks.
A book about this event and the evidence found underwater by diver Mark Gatt was published a few years ago, and this has been recently turned into a documentary mini-series (in Maltese), which you can watch at the link below:
