
The Planning Authority’s case officer assessing the proposed salt pans project close to Xwejni, Gozo, which over 400 of our readers objected to, is suggesting the Planning Authority to bin the application. As may be seen in the case report, a copy of which we are attaching below, the case officer started off by identifying “a substantial number of objections” had been filed, together with objections by other NGOs and the Environmental Resources Authority as well.
A public PA Planning Commssion sitting will be held on the 11 March 2025. We encourage objectors and friends to attend! You may see the application is listed as the last item on the agenda for the “Planning Commission – Outside Development Zone and Urban Conservation Areas“. On the same day, registered objectors but also on the following page, an online link will be made available for the general public to hear the case, and/or contribute. You may also attend in person at the PA offices.
