The Malta International Airport Foundation has released another of its series of documentaries about the underwater landscapes and wrecks of the Maltese Islands, this time on the HMS Maori Wreck.
The documentary covers both the history behind the wreck, scuttled in situ after the end of WW2, as well as a very small selection of the varied marine life that one can see, the most that could be included in a short documentary of 7 and a half minutes.
Make sure you visit this wreck as unfortunately, over the years, it’s now decaying fast and the sand over the last eight decades has covered a lot of the remains.
A small note, don’t touch marine life although the octopus shown in the video decided otherwise!
Reminder: Take nothing but memories and photographs/videos, leave nothing but bubbles!
Thanks to Professor Alan Deidun and the team behind the production plus of course the Malta Airport Foundation for funding these documentaries.
