During our dives and whilst travelling from site to site, you may see some interesting marine life which is also interesting for academic researchers. We include below some information as to who is interested in getting to know about some special marine life. Alternatively, if you can’t choose, or wish the sighting to be shared on this site, you may also use the reporting form at the bottom of this page and we’ll inform the interested parties as well.
Sightings of Jellyfish and Alien Species
The “Spot the Jellyfish” campaign has now been ongoing for many years. Headed by Professor Alan Deidun, sighting may be reported through the Spot the Jellyfish Reporting Form.
The Spot the Alien campaign is relatively newer, but also headed by Professor Alan Deidun. They have issued a poster showing some of the major alien species that have been identified so far. You may report sightings, or ask them if a fish or other species you saw is indeed an alien, or ask for ID by using any of the following contact details:
