The Malta Ranger Unit (MRU) is a newly established NGO whose aim is to monitor the Islands for environmental illegalities, gather evidence and push for authorities to take appropriate action. It also educates people in the countryside and around our Islands on environmental obligations. The unit will also work on reports of illegalities within marine protected areas and conservation areas around wrecks.
