The Malta Ranger Unit has launched a reporting portal for reporting environmental crimes which may be monitored by the unit and bring in to the attention of relevant authorities. This can include marine littering and illegal activities in marine protected areas.
The reporting portal, available at https://malta-ranger-unit.atlassian.net/…/customer/portals lets you register and follow your cases.
However, if you wish just to send your report, you may also do this by sending an email to info@rangers.mt which also creates a case, however you cannot track progress afterwards and only direct feedback can be given.
It is important to as much as possible provide details or information about the crime being reported, including evidence and/or location, times, etc.
Whilst we congratulate them on their efforts, we also remind the general public that the MRU is a voluntary organisation – hence any support you may give them helps. Donating a small amount (the prices of a coffee) every month in an automated manner using their Patreon page helps keep the lights on, and more good work for the benefit of our environment.
