The organisers of the Divers for Puttinu Event yesterday evening presented the respectable donation during the live tv show which at the end of it, raised €3Million. The Puttinu Cares Foundation will use these funds to furnish a newly acquired property in London, England for the use of families having a member receiving cancer treatment in the London area.
The event saw divers joining together for dives at Cirkewwa Marine Park on Good Friday, and giving their donation to Puttinu Cares Foundation volunteers. Throughout the event, which saw Cirkewwa Marine Park full as if it was a summer day, circa 40 local divers attended. Some visited the event even though they were not diving but still joined in to donate and socialise.
The organising team also extended it’s appreciation of the help given by many different entities, who all in their own manner contributed in assisting or by donations to the cause.
