Diver rescued at Anchor Bay

The Armed Forces of Malta announced today that they were involved in a multi-agency search for a missing diver at Anchor Bay, (Bajja tal-Prajjiet), limits of Mellieħa, Malta. Read their press release below.

This morning, the Malta Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) received a call through 112 that a diver went missing at Anchor Bay. Different Armed Forces of Malta land, sea and air Units where dispatched to the area in order to search for the missing individual.

Through a coordinated effort by the AFM and Civil Protection Department, the diver was rescued, brought to shore, and handed over to Mater Dei personnel for a medical check up. The diver was in a good state of health and no further medical attention was necessary.

The AFM would like to thank the @civilprotectionmalta and @materdeimalta emergency department staff for their assistance and collaboration during this operation.
