TVM News reports that a 66-year-old German diver lost his life after experiencing difficulties while diving at Wied iż-Żurrieq. At about 4pm Police were informed the man was experiencing difficulties.
He was administered First Aid by Red Cross members and a medical team and Civil Protection officials were on the spot. The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital but shortly after he was certified to have died. Magistrate Leonard Caruana has launched an Inquiry.
Unfortunately, no other details were shared regarding any potential cause for the accident at this stage. Divinginfo.mt extends its condolences to the family and friends of the diver.
