Aga Jay (Agnieszka Jurgielewicz) Art

I’m originally from Poland but lived in UK for 9 years before moving to Malta 7 years ago. I’m PADI MSDT and been teaching for almost 10 years.
Artistic background: as a teenager I took private lessons to prepare for practical exam for architecture studies at the Technical University of Szczecin. During next five years at the uni I had art lesson twice a week.

When I finished it and started working I discovered my passion for diving so all my free time was consumed by it and therefore I had no time left for my art. It took me many years to realize how much I miss it. The solution was to quit the boring job and turn hobby into profession.

That way after busy summer at the dive centre I can focus on some creative projects in the winter. The majority of my clients are scuba divers so my work is usually marine themed but they’re very different in size and techniques. So far I painted not only on paper or canvas but also on fins, suits, cars, gates, internal and external walls, etc. I even designed tattoos for fellow instructors and ended up doing the tattoo course at the moment. Soon I’ll be able to put all those underwater marvels on human skin and I’m very excited about this new chapter in my life.
